Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is recognition of a young person’s successful journey of self-discovery and development, renowned by employers and universities alike for the qualities young people have who’ve achieved a DofE Award. It’s balanced programme develops the whole person – mind, body and soul, in an environment of social interaction and team working. The Award consists of 4 sections – Volunteering, Skills, Physical and the Expedition. There is also an additional Residential section to be completed at Gold level. For further information on the DofE, please visit www.dofe.org.

Bull Precision Expeditions (BPE) is an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for the DofE Expedition section. We provide training and expeditions at all 3 levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold) that meet all of the 20 Expedition Conditions that govern DofE Expeditions. We offer top quality, affordable expeditions that can be undertaken by foot, canoe or by horseback either in the UK or overseas.

Our team of dedicated DofE Leaders have many years of experience in leading expeditions with young people in expedition areas in the UK and all over the globe. They all hold National Governing Body qualifications appropriate to the mode of travel being undertaken as well as first aid and enhanced DBS clearance, and all are DofE Accredited Assessors.

We support schools and youth groups, offering a tailored and dedicated service to meet your own needs. Our schools programme includes all the training as described in the DofE’s Common Training Framework, Planning Workshops where the teams plan their own expeditions, and Practice and Qualifying Expeditions which are supervised and assessed by our leaders. There is also considerable support in planning the programme to fit in alongside the school calendar, taking into account exams, studies, trips and holidays. All DofE Notification paperwork is handled by our office as well.

We also deliver Open Expeditions, designed for individuals or small groups so that they can complete their expedition outside of their school. These are often attended by participants who have either left school or have chosen a different mode of travel that their school is unable to deliver. Whether individual or school, we can support your DofE Expedition. If you would like to know more or have further questions, just get in touch.
